| Learn-to-Row Workshop |

The St. Louis Rowing Club, in conjunction with Washington University Crew and the St. Louis County Parks Department, hosts a series of learn to row workshops. These are being offered to give the St. Louis community an inexpensive way to get some real rowing experience and find out more about the sport. During the three-hour workshop, you will:
- Find out about the history of rowing in St. Louis
- Learn all the benefits of rowing, including building strength, fitness and teamwork
- Tour our boathouse and facilities
- Get a close look at all the equipment used in rowing
- Receive instruction on proper rowing technique and form
- Use our indoor rowing machines to familiarize yourself with correct rowing technique
- Learn the terms and phrases associated with rowing
- Receive instruction on proper boat and equipment handling
- Be part of a crew and take a tour of Creve Coeur lake in a real rowing shell; experience rowing for yourself!

Sunday, June 8, 2008 12pm & 3pm
Workshops will be held at our boathouse, located at 13777 Marine Ave, Maryland Heights, MO 63043 (near the Creve Coeur Park/Sailboat Cove parking lot).

Instruction includes rowing technique and terminology, water safety, and care of equipment. Each session includes 10 classes spread over a month.
Session I: May 28 - June 25, 2008 Mon. & Wed. 6 - 8 PM, Sat. 9 - 11 AM
Session II: July 8 - July 29, 2008 Tues. & Thurs. 6 - 8 PM, Sat. 9-11 AM
Session III: Aug. 9 - Aug. 30, 2008 Mon. & Wed. 6 - 8 PM, Sat 9 - 11 AM

| Summer Learn-to-Row classes for 6th - 12th graders! |
|
There will be three Learn-to-Row classes offered for juniors (age 17 and under). This is a great way to learn the basics of rowing or coxing!
Session #1: 6/30 - 7/4 and 7/7 - 7/11, 9:30am - 12noon
For current and incoming high school students.
Session #2: 7/14 - 7/19 and 7/21 - 7/24, 9:30am - 12noon
For incoming 6th - 8th graders.
Session #3: 7/28 - 8/1 and 8/4 - 8/8, 9:30 am - 12noon
For current and incoming high school students.
The cost of each session is $275.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

| Summer Program for Continuing Juniors |
|
Beginning June 2nd, the program runs Monday - Saturday, 7 AM - 9 AM. The program will end with the Chicago Sprints on July 12th and 13th. The cost of the program is $250 (regatta fees not included).
